9 Minor Lifestyle Changes to Get a Glowing Skin

Are you tired of squeezing out time from your hectic schedule to visit the beauty salon? Do you think you have been spending a bit too much to get that radiant look but all in vain? Well, you do not require those extensive beauty therapies to get that glow. It can be attained by making some minor changes in your lifestyle.

Sleep Well

The first step to attain a beautiful and glowing skin is to sleep for at least 8 hours a day. This aids in maintaining your hormonal balance and rejuvenating your skin. No amount of beauty treatments or remedies can bring that radiance on your face if you do not take proper rest. Your exhaustion reflects on your skin and makes it look dull and lifeless. Lack of sleep also causes dark circles under your eyes that mar your appearance further.

Practice deep breathing

Deep breathing helps in releasing stress and keeps us calm. It is best practiced in a clean atmosphere filled with fresh air. Breath in slowly, hold your breath for a while and then breath out very slowly. Repeat this at least 30 times a day to see a visible change in your skin.

Exercising improves blood circulation that in turn gives a radiant look to our face. Work out for at least 30 minutes a day. Practicing yoga is even better. Look for the yoga asanas that are especially good for the skin.

Eat Healthy Food

Healthy eating habits play a vital role in keeping your skin healthy and glowing. Avoid the consumption of junk food and switch to healthful food. Green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits, whole grains, cereals and pulses must form a part of your daily diet. Foods rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, Vitamin C and E and proteins are especially good for the skin.

Drink a lot of water

It is essential to have at least 8 ounces of water each day to stay hydrated. Water flushes out all the toxins and wastes from the body to make it work more effectively and give your skin a natural glow.

Cleanse your skin regularly

Rather than going to the beauty salon to undergo a rigorous cleansing and scrubbing session, it is recommended to cleanse your face every day before going to the bed. Make it a routine to clean your face with a cleanser and warm water to get rid of the dirt and impurities and prevent oil clogging. Use a clean towel to pat it dry.

Follow the morning skin care routine

Hold a steamy cloth to your face for a few minutes to allow the steam to enter the pores. Next, use a good foaming cleanser to get rid of excess oil and dirt. Massaging the foaming cleanser to work up a rich lather would also help stimulate blood circulation and rejuvenate your skin. Now use a toner to balance the pH of your skin and then apply a good moisturizer. Make sure you choose all the products as per your skin type.

Besides cleansing, toning and moisturizing, it is also important to exfoliate your skin with a good scrub. This helps in getting rid of the dead skin cells. You must scrub your face at least once a week.

Apply Sunscreen

Do not make the mistake of stepping out in the sun without applying sunscreen. Also make sure you choose a sun screen as per your skin type to ensure complete skin protection from the harmful UV rays of the sun.
