Beat the summer heat – Fruit Custard Recipe

Oh boy the heat!… the summer is back with a bang and with the political scene heating up day by day leading to the formation of the new government what better than relaxing with some cool desserts to chill after your meal. If you are planning on having evening parties you can always treat your guests with a refreshing dessert at the end of the meal. If summer drinks are for cooling off during the day, desserts are for cooling off during your dinner. Here is one such mouthwatering and refreshing fruit custard recipe for dessert.

  • 2 cups Yogurt (Plain)
  • 1 cup Condensed Milk
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Mango
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 small Pomegranate
  • 4 tbsp Sugar
  • 50 gms Dry Fruits Cashew, Raisins and Cherry


  1. Wash and peel the apple’s outer cover.
  2. Cut the apple into small pieces.

  3. Wash and cut the mangoes into cubes and discard the pit and the outer cover.

  4. Same way, peel the banana and chop it into small chunks.

  5. Chop the dry fruits into small pieces too.

  6. Beat the yogurt together with condensed milk and sugar. (you can add more or less sugar according to your requirement)

  7. Refrigerate the mix for a couple of hours.
  8. Then to this mix add the chopped fruits and dry fruits and serve chill.

Recipe Notes

Use a stem glass to Serve.
Add chopped fruits and nuts to the bottom of the stem glass.
Then add a layer of chilled yogurt and condensed milk to this.
Then again garnish with fruits and nuts and one top of the layer put a red cherry.
Instead of yogurt you can also use fresh cream.
