Mini Garlic Cheese Rolls Recipe

Garlic cheese rolls are easy and quick snack and I sure your kids will love these.

Mini Garlic Cheese Rolls

Cheese rolls made at home are more healthy, hygienic and convenient to make. Also, one can experiment with various stuffing and flavors.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Maida or Whole Wheat flour
  • 3 tbsp Garlic Butter
  • 25 grams Cheese
  • 3/4 to 1 cup Water
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Instant Yeast
  • 1 tsp Sugar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl add the Maida / Whole Wheat flour. Put in salt as per taste.
  2. Make a well in the center of the flour and add the yeast, sugar, and water in the center. Gently mix it well.

  3. Add 2 tablespoon of the butter too and knead the dough till it becomes smooth. This will take about 12 minutes.

  4. Lightly grease a deep bowl. Gather the dough in a round ball and place it in the greased bowl.

  5. Place it seam side down and put a lid on the bowl.

  6. Keep it inside a kitchen cabinet where it will not be distributed. Depending on the weather, it will double up within 2 hours.

  7. Punch the dough once to deflate it. Knead once or twice to remove excess air bubbles.

  8. Now, using a kitchen scale, divide it into equal size balls.

  9. Roll each dough piece like a roti. Using a sharp knife, cut it from the center, both horizontally and vertically. It will make 4 quarters.

  10. Again cut them from their midst. We will get 8 triangles after cutting from all over.

  11. Place a teaspoon of grated cheese on all the edges and roll tightly towards the center.

  12. Place each roll on a lined baking tray and brush them with melted garlic butter.

  13. Let them rest for rising for 30 minutes.

  14. After 20 minutes preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Keep both the oven rods on.

  15. Place the tray in the to bake. Rolls will turn light golden brown in about 10 to 12 minutes.

  16. Remove them and serve hot.

Tips

You can shape these rolls in different ways though pie shape is quick as you need to roll once and you get 8 rolls ready with this cut.

Cut the roti into 8 pieces

You can choose to add some fillings like corn, onions etc. with the cheese to add more flavor.

Add a teaspoon of grated cheese on all the edges

It’s important that you leave the rolls for rising before baking for at least 30 minutes, as that will make the rolls fluffy.

Roll the pieces tightly towards the centre

Serve hot as anything cheesy is good till the time it is hot 🙂
