How to Make Pasta
- Oil to cook around 1 tbsp
- Ripe cherry tomatoes - About 8-10
- Spaghetti pasta - 300 gms
- Water to boil the spaghetti pasta
- Dry garlic powder - 1 tbsp
- Thick cream - 2 tbsps
- Basil leaves - a bunch
Heat a non-stick pan and add oil first.
Now, add the tomatoes after removing their greens and let them fry a bit in the oil till they have softened. Keep stirring and tossing them. In a few minutes, they will get cooked perfectly. These tomatoes once cooked impart a fresh Mediterranean tomato flavor to the dish which makes it all the more savory and goes very well with the garlic flavor too.
In a separate saucepan, keep the water on heat and let it come to a boil.Once the water boils, add the spaghetti which will get cooked just in a few minutes.
Once the tomatoes are done, you can now add the generous amount of garlic powder and let it sauté with the tomatoes on medium flame so that it gives a nice garlicky aroma.
Now, toss in the heavy cream and mix well so that the tomatoes are all wrapped up in the creamy base. Let it simmer for some time. The cream will gradually start melting into a thinner consistency. You can choose whole fat or skimmed milk cream as per your diet considerations.
By this time, your spaghetti must have got cooked. So, drain out the excess water and add the spaghetti into the creamy tomato mixture.
Mix everything well on the heat.
For a yummy garnishing, add the basil leaves, washed and gently chopped. Turn them well into the pasta and stir the dish nicely so that all the ingredients mingle perfectly.
