Lauki chutney | Bottle-gourd chutney
Lauki (bottle gourd) is one thing which can make people run. But this lauki chutney is something not many have tried. Eat this chutney with rice or rotis/parathas and you will become Fans of Lauki!!!
- 1 medium-sized Bottle Gourd (white middle portion with seeds: Cut in to medium size pieces)
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 2 tsp Urad Dal
- 1 tsp Coriander Seeds (dhaniya)
- 1 tsp Jeera
- 1 small piece Hing
- 2 Green Chilli
- 1 small piece Tamarind Pulp
- Salt as required
- 1 pinch Jaggery Powder (optional)
- 1 tsp Ghee
- 1 tsp Rai
Prepare the ingredients.
In a pan, heat oil. Add urad dal.
After the color changes to light brown, add dhaniya seeds, jeera, hing, and green chillis.
You can add a pinch of Jaggery powder to keep the spice level under control.
Transfer the chutney from mixie into a bowl.
Serve with steamed rice or parathas.
