It is suggested to take deep skin cleaning sessions regularly during this season. Unclean skin may lead to the development of bacteria and may even cause redness and other skin allergies.

A healthy diet plan: It is suggested to have fresh fruits and green vegetables to maintain a glowing skin. Also consume lots of pulses, nuts and other protein rich items as these are said to work wonder during this season.

Foot Care

With water logging being a common sight during monsoons it is very essential to take special care of your feet in this season. Even if you manage to escape the water logged area, the wet and sticky atmosphere around is just enough to cause infection in the feet if you aren’t cautious enough. It is essential to wash your feet frequently to get rid of the sweat and dirt. Also make sure that you dry your feet properly before wearing your shoes-socks or better still go for waterproof footwear during the rains.

And yes, do not forget to get pedicure done regularly for complete foot care!

Hair Care

Your hair requires as much attention as your skin as the weather humidifies. The humid monsoon season causes sweating which in turn makes our hair prone to fungal infection. They also tend to get quite frizzy and unmanageable. Wash and condition your hair every alternative day and use a good serum to smooth them. If you can afford a hair spa treatment then go for it. It is a great way to revert the damage done by the rainy season. It is also a good idea to get your hair trimmed regularly to get rid of the split ends.

Quick Make-up Tips

  •  Rub an ice cube on your face for around 10 minutes after washing it. This helps in reducing the sweat rate thereby ensuring that your make up stays intact for hours.
  •  Use a smudge free kajal, mascara and eyeliner to enhance your eyes.
  • Also make sure that you do not use cream based or glossy cosmetics. It is best to stick to powder matte cosmetics.
  •  It is best to avoid the usage of foundation. However, if it cannot be avoided then you should go for a waterproof foundation.
