Moong Dal Dosa Recipe
- 200 gms Moong Dal
- 50 gms Rice
- 1 small Onion finely chopped
- 1 inch piece Ginger finely chopped
- 1 Green chilli finely chopped
- Water for soaking moong dal and rice
- 1/2 tbsp Oil for each dosa
- Salt as required
Soak the moong dal and rice for 1 hour.
Remove the excess water and blend it in a mixer.
Add salt as per your taste and blend it again.
Make sure that the paste is smooth. If the batter looks thick, add little water. Do not add more water, as it will become difficult to make dosas.
Keep the non-stick tawa on high flame till it becomes hot. Then lower the flame to medium.
Pour 1 ladle of batter and spread it in a circular movement.
Sprinkle some onion, ginger, and chilies.
Put oil, drop by drop around the dosa and inside too. Once it is done, slowly turn it over. After a few seconds, remove the dosa from the tawa.
Serve hot with coconut chutney or any chutney of your choice.
Moong dal dosa is a simple but nutritious snack. It is usually eaten for breakfast, but can be had at any time.
